Member Spotlight: Janine Just

Meet Janine Just- PR and Marketing Expert and one of our favorite GoGreenRide members!

Janine Just grows brand presence between brands by engaging online communities with targeted messaging, invitations, and special events. She has worked with Rocawear, Baked by Melissa, Angelique Bridal, Mount Holyoke College and many more. We're big fans of her bright and sprite personality, a sentiment that is shared by many others like Steven Weintraub, Associate Director, Experience Strategy & Design, Publicis who notes “I worked with Janine on a high profile Facebook project. She was a pleasure to work with and was extremely dedicated. I hope to work with her again in the future.”

We were lucky to have a chance to chat with Janine Just to hear about her upcoming plans:

GGR:What's your favorite thing about being the Chief Connectologist of your PR startup firm?
JJ: I love introducing new brands to the market, and, of course, I love the community that we have built up over the past few years. People are now inclined to turn to us to get a first look at new products, services and technologies. How is that not a cool way to spend your workday?!?

GGR: Do you have any cool upcoming projects that you are working on?
JJ: Right now we’re working on the launch of .Bk, which is a men’s apparel line that produces limited runs of totally unique microcollections. Their MO is to disrupt mass fashion, one shirt at a time. We love the exclusivity, and the idea that guys of all budgets can score a quality, cool, bespoke shirt that not everyone else in NYC has.

GGR: Anything you would like to suggest to our GoGreenRide members who are trying to get their brands in better shape?
JJ: Make sure to set goals for yourself, but no more than two short-term and two long-term goals at a time. You want to put the focus on actually achieving goals, not simply making them. It’s a quality over quantity situation. This sets you up with either immediate successes (yay!), or, if a campaign flounders and needs a little more work, you’ve already allotted yourself the extra time you need to consider audience feedback and revise, ultimately creating an even better result the next time around. It’s a win-win!

GGR: What's your favorite place to have dinner in NYC?
JJ: Da Marcello on the corner of West Houston Street and MacDougal in the West Village. The food and service are always outstanding, and not to mention, the place is easy on the wallet. Do yourself a favor and check them out for a romantic, oh-so-New-York evening. We all deserve a carb-fest once in a while!
