NYC Poetry Festival

Saturday July 26th & Sunday July 27th

Get ready for a jam packed weekend of poetry because The New York City Poetry Festival at Governors Island is back and ready to bring New Yorkers what they love-- art, food and poetry. This year the Poetry Society of New York has organized an incredible lineup including, Mark Doty, Matthea Harvey, and Ben Lerne. We encourage you to bring a blanket, sunscreen, and water as there is no water fountains nearby. The venue opens at 11:00AM and the first act begins at 11:30AM, so to avoid lines we recommend that you arrive by 10:30AM. We truly hope that you give the Poetry Festival at Governors Island a chance!

A reminder that Governors Island is accessible by two ferries, one leaving from 10 South Street and the other leaving from Pier 6 in Brooklyn Bridge Park. We would be honored to accompany you and your guest to any of these locations!
