Event Recap: Voss Foundation Women Helping Women Luncheon
GoGreenRide was proud to sponsor the Voss Foundation’s fourth annual Women Helping Women Luncheon! The event took place on Nov. 14th at Dream Downtown and raised funds to provide African women and their families with access to clean water. Supermodel Selita Ebanks hosted the event, which honored fellow model Maya Halle Samuelsson and her husband, award-winning chef Marcus Samuelsson, for their work improving health in Ethiopia through their Three Goats foundation. The Voss Foundation does extraordinary work helping to fulfill the basic water needs of communities in sub-Saharan Africa. Women and girls are the primary collectors of water and walk many miles to fetch it, leaving them with little time for education or enterprise. The Voss Foundation’s projects afford these women the opportunity to improve their lives and those of their communities.

Event Recap: FEED USA + Target launch event
Photos by Nilaya Sabnis
On Wednesday night, June 19, Lauren Bush Lauren, founder and CEO of FEED USA, celebrated the launch of her upcoming collection for Target . The new FEED USA + Target collection includes a variety of lifestyle products that will raise funds for Feeding America, the nation's leading domestic hunger-relief charity.
The patriotic, Americana party, set underneath the Brooklyn Bridge at the Tobacco Warehouse, gathered over 500 guests, all clad in red. GoGreenRide was honored to provide transportation to and from the event for some of the evening's VIP's, social influencers and people who were critical in making the successful event a possibility. Editorial director of Paper Magazine, Mickey Boardman, was thrilled to ride in one of our hybrids and loved his experience!
Guests lounged at picnic tables as they enjoyed a finger-licking good dinner and of course, America's favorite dessert, apple crumble. Under the setting sun, guests shopped the limited-time-only FEED USA+ Target collection and mingled with notable names such as Karlie Kross, Lea Michelle, Sophia Bush and Mamie Gummer. As the event came to a close, American Idol winner Phillip Phillips took the stage with his hit song "Home".
To help provide 10 million meals for hungry Americans, check out Lauren's designs at Target on June 30th.

Event Recap: Hearing Health Foundation Summer Soiree
On June 11, GoGreenRide was proud to be a part of the Hearing Health Foundation's Summer Soiree benefit at The West 79th Street Boat Basin Cafe. Although forecasted to rain, the evening turned out to be a beautiful night filled with great BBQ food, delicious drinks and inspiring people. Hearing Health Foundation is the largest private funder of hearing research and has remarkably given more than $30 million to hearing and balance research. With fundraising events like this week's Summer Soiree, the foundation moves closer and closer to their mission in preventing and curing hearing loss.
One of our valued GoGreenRide members, Michael Kolodny, is a National Junior Board Member of the Hearing Health Foundation and helped put together the successful event that hosted over two hundred people. The Summer Soiree featured a silent auction and a raffle that GoGreenRide was thrilled to contribute to. For the silent auction, GGR provided complimentary transportation to and from a wine tasting that was being auctioned off. GoGreenRide is so happy to have supported such a great event and to have contributed in making hearing loss a thing of the past.
