For years, Nobel Prize-winning author John Steinbeck has stolen the hearts of many with his captivating story Of Mice and MenPublished in 1937, the story tells of two men, George Milton and Lennie Small, displaced ranch workers, who move constantly in search of new job opportunities during the Great Depression. Today Anna D. Shapiro brings this amazing book to life and with actors like James Franco, Bryce Clyde and Leighton Meester.

With hundreds of the best Irish dance groups and tons of opportunities for you and your family to join, this is not an event you want to miss.You could enjoy dance classes, Irish language classes, and an Irish singing circle!

Macy's Flower Show:
For 40 years Macy's has helped New Yorkers welcome spring with their  Flower Show. This year's theme is The Secret Garden featuring beautifully bright flowers all over the store and hidden gems to kick off the show! This is not a view you want to miss.

NYC Whisky Tasting:

Saturday, April 5th

International Pillow Fight:
Release some stress this year at New York City's 9th annual pillow fight! This year's theme is Superheroes vs. Villains. So dress as your favorite superhero or villain and head on down to Washington Square Park with your soft, feather-free pillow and fight to the death! After you have defeated your rival, deposit your pillow in the donation box.



Sunday, April 6th

Celebrating Scotland in NYC:
Celebrate Tartan Week by joining this year's New York Tartan Day Parade. Register now at nyctartanweek.org and let your ears enjoy the beautiful sounds of the pipe bands, individual players and Scottish bands.

An Anti-Valentine's Day Weekend!

Are you sick of saying "Ugh. …Valentine’s Day."? Good because New York offers many options for you on the dreadful day. So turn off that Lifetime movie or rerun of “Law and Order," get off your couch, and check out these events around town.

For Those Who Love to Dance


What: Want to get your groove on? Then come on down to Joe's Pub because the band Minq Vaadka is holding an “Anti-Valentine’s Masquerade” CD-release party with The Disgruntled Lovers.

What: Check out The Sunburnt Cow's annual “No Love at the Cow” singles party! With just $20 you can enjoy all-you-can-drink beer, drinks and wine for two hours and if you happen to meet that special someone, you can also enjoy special Love Potion shots from the Cow’s ice luge.
